About

My name is Alex Campbell and I've been professionally inspecting homes for 25 years with over 8,000 inspections completed.  I have a background and education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Electrician as well as various construction projects over the years.  Of course nothing compares to inspection experience in the field - the more you see the more you know.  I offer a very thorough, visual inspection of the home practicing to the CAHPI Standards (Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors) - National Certificate Holder #328.  I provide a photo-based report emailed to you by the end of the day of the inspection.  I prefer for you, the Client (potential new home owner), to be present during the inspection as a large part of any home inspection is the educational benefit.  You will learn about the systems in the home, how they work, the current age/condition and expected service life.  The major sections covered are: Roofing, Exterior, Structure, Electrical, Heating/Cooling, Attic, Plumbing and Interior.  I also include Infra-red scanning as a useful tool in my box of gadgets.  Infra red scanning can be useful in locating insulation voids, water leaks and tracing in-floor heating runs for example.  A typical inspection takes 2.5 to 3 hours.  Of course a very large and/or old home will take longer with a slightly higher fee.

My company is also registered in good standing with BGRS (Brookfield Global Relocation Services) for Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP and Canadian Government transfers.

A good home inspection can help you make a more informed decision and greatly reduce your risk of a large financial surprise.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
